Kaituer Falls Panorama

Description

A full panorama of the falls and valley... It's a big stitch to get all this in, and I'm not sure about the angle of the river and the shelf the water falls over...

I've now done a reworking of this stitch, plus a bit of a tinker with my colour profiles - which should mean you're seeing what I'm seeing, but I'm still not convinced!

Vision: The point of view is quite dramatic for me. It is like I am standing with you, looking at some of the most awe inspiring nature I have yet seen. I am not sure how you can improve here.

Originality: The rolling forest green hills with steep inclines next to a thundering waterfall that casts a wonderful rainbow, a dark rain cloud on the horizon; breath taking. So many elements working together in harmony. This is another area I am not sure how you can improve.

Technique: I really like the lighting and shadows here. The contrast is soft and gentle. The water falls in curtains. The rainbow is vibrant and viable, but not overpowering. To me it looks like it is slightly tilted downward. I think it adds depth, a sense of size and grandeur. I think, the colors work well together, but could use some vibrancy to help these different elements set themselves apart.

Impact: For me,I feel like I want to be there, to enjoy the moment and hope it never ends. A blissful day so alive and moving. I think this would have been on one of my top adventure lists of places to see. To me this has a romantic feel, a pleasant and inviting view to behold. Another quick thought, the bottom right corner does not seem to work well with this photo. I find it a little distracting, but nothing too serious to worry about.

Gorgeous.
